The Bolton ace defeated Fallon Sherrock in the final with 2-1 in sets. Ashton demolished Sherrock in the first set with 3-0, but Sherrock managed to level the match and took the second set with 3-2.
Ashton stormed into a 2-0 lead in the last set of the ladies tournament, but Sherrock almost came back to 2-2. She missed two darts at double 4 to force a leg-decider, which was her last chance to win the event. Ashton took out her finish and claimed her second title in Egmond aan Zee, as she also won the title in 2008.
'The Lancashire Rose' will make her debut at the PDC World Darts Championship on Thursday. She faces Jan Dekker on the opening day of the World Championship.
