Veenstra moved into the final after a 3-1 victory over Jim Williams, the number one seed in Egmond aan Zee. The Dutchman hit an important 12-dart leg to take a 2-1 lead in. Then Veenstra threw a 116 checkout to lead in set four, before he hit a 15-dart leg for the victory.
Durrant reached the final as he defeated Mark McGeeney 3-1 in sets. The two-time Lakeside champion produced a stunning 136 finish to win the third set and claimed the win in the fourth set with a 13-dart leg.
