Stephen Bunting continued his return to form with his second group stage win at the Grand Slam. 'The Bullet' will play Scott Mitchell tomorrow but looks set to finish top of the group in what has been a brilliant few months for the St Helens ace.
He defeated another St Helens darter in Dave Chisnall 5-2 so it was less close run than his win over Jeffrey de Zwaan and afterwards he admitted he was happy to win but wants to finish top of the group and also spoke about the work he is doing behind the scenes.
"I'm really happy but I want to finish top of the group so I'll be getting myself ready for my last game on Monday now," said Bunting.
"I'm putting a lot of hard work in behind the scenes and making small steps forward. I'm enjoying practising and I believe I'm better now than I was before, and hopefully that can start to come out on stage.
"I'm feeling comfortable and if I play the way I can play then I can beat anyone, but I don't feel like I'm playing my best darts yet and I'm still getting wins."
