Peter Wright will be back at Minehead in March as he defends his UK Open crown.

The crowd-pleasing Scot took the title in 2017, defeating Gerwyn Price 11-6 in the final. Despite his status as the defending champion and world number two, Wright hasn't been backed by the bookies. UK Open sponsors Coral have installed Snakebite as the fourth favourite, with odds of 9/1.
Unsurprisingly, Michael van Gerwen is the hot favourite. Mighty Mike missed last year's tournament, but goes into the 2018 edition in unstoppable form. Coral has offered odds of 8/11, and not many punters will be able to look past the Dutchman. If they do, Rob Cross and Gary Anderson are joint-second favourite at 7/1.
After Wright, 2006 and 2007 champion Raymond van Barneveld comes in at 22/1. Michael Smith is available at odds of 25/1. Intriguingly, world number five Daryl Gurney and debutant Corey Cadby are both 28/1 to win in Minehead.
Despite reaching last year's final, Gerwyn Price's price is as far out as 66/1. The favourite among the Riley's qualifiers is Paul Hogan. Crocodile Dundee is at 300/1.
