Price followed up his Players Championship 5 triumph on Saturday with another impressive display to round off a perfect weekend for the world number seven. 'The Iceman' has now won four Players Championship titles, one European Tour event and the Grand Slam of Darts. The Grand Slam champion escaped in the first round on Sunday, as he edged out Harry Ward after a leg-decider. But after the first round, nobody came really close to beat the Welshman. Price produced a brilliant display in the second round to whitewash Zoran Lerchbacher with 112 average. Then he went on to beat Josh Payne (6-0), David Pallett (6-3), Adrian Lewis (6-4) and Nathan Aspinall (7-2) en route to the final. Price started superb in the final against Evans, as he hit a well timed 78 finish and a 13-dart leg to break Evans' throw twice. 'Rapid Ricky' came back from a 4-0 deficit to 4-3, but was unable to level the match. 'The Iceman' hit a 14-dart leg and a 105 finish to move 6-3 in front. Evans claimed his fourth leg in the 11th leg to extend the match, after the Grand Slam champion missed several match-darts. Price left 170 after nine darts in the 12th leg and claimed the victory in fashion style with a stunning 170 checkout. for more information about the
