Dimitri van den Bergh has won the latest edition of the Pro Darts Showdown Series in Townsville. The Belgian was too strong for Phil Taylor in the final, winning 7-5 with a 105 average.
Taylor had a fairly simple route to the final. The Power overcame local players Jeremy Fagg and Lucas Cameron. Dimitri, on the other hand, had two formidable opponents in Andy Hamilton and Kyle Anderson. Against The Hammer, he threw a 110 average, with five maximums and finishes of 121, 122 and 127.
In the final The Dreammaker continued his fantastic form. With the score 6-5 in favour of the youth world champion, he managed to conclude the game with a brilliant 10-darter on the bullseye.
The Oceanic Tour will end this week with two more exhibition tournaments in Mackay. Taylor, Anderson, Van den Bergh and Hamilton are participating again. The line-up is also supplemented with Devon Petersen and Gordon Mathers, who both featured at the World Championship.
