Canada causes upset at World Cup as they knock out Australia

Canada is through to the quarter-finals at the World Cup of Darts in Hamburg. They beat number five seed Australia after two singles matches to advance to the final day of action.

Dawson Murschell secured a first point for Canada as Awesome Dawson beat Simon Whitlock 4-3. The Wizard had the throw in the legdecider, but Murschell took the win with a superb 14-dart leg.
Kyle Anderson failed to keep Australia in the running for the title at the World Cup of Darts. The Original took a 3-1 lead against Jim Long, before the Canadian leveled the match with back-to-back 14-darters. Long claimed the win in the seventh leg after Anderson missed one match-dart on double 20.
