Nathan Aspinall has reached the last sixteen at the German Darts Open in Saarbrucken. The UK Open champion knocked out former European Tour winner Jonny Clayton.

'The Asp' produced a ton plus average and hit 40% on the doubles en route to victory. Aspinall moved into a 4-1 lead quickly, before he kept the advantage with a 12-dart leg for 5-2. Clayton reduced the deficit with a 70 checkout, before Aspinall claimed the win with a 13-darter.
Dave Chisnall came from 1-2 behind to beat Ted Evetts 6-3. 'Chizzy' broke Evetts' throw in the eighth leg with a 16-darter and followed this up with a 15-dart leg to book his place in the third round.
