Chisnall produces remarkable comeback to dump Smith out of World Matchplay

Dave Chisnall produced one of the best comebacks in World Matchplay history to dump out Michael Smith in a battle of St Helens best.

Chisnall was 7-1 down but claimed 10 out of the remaining 11 legs to stage the comeback. He hit a 103 average with 10 180’s becoming the first player in this year’s tournament to hit a ton plus average.
‘Chizzy’ who has not had the best of times in the past year will now have the belief and confidence to mount a bid for a first major.
