Joe Cullen has reached a maiden World Matchplay Quarter-Final after seeing off Daryl Gurney in commanding fashion at the Winter Gardens.

Cullen hit a 99 average, 2x 180s and a high checkout of 116 in seeing off the World Grand Prix winner. ‘The Rockstar’ has had his critics but this shows now what the Bradford ace can do.
Gurney was out of sorts and will be gutted that he couldn’t show some of the form he showed in this year’s Premier League but could it be Cullen’s year?
He will have to get past either Gary Anderson or Raymond van Barneveld first who play last tonight.
