Chris Dobey dumps out Mensur Suljovic and Rob Cross smashes through Jonny Clayton

Chris Dobey dumped out another seed in the penultimate game of the night in the form of Mensur Suljovic. 'Hollywood' was 3-0 down but reeled off 6 consecutive legs to cause a shock and get the biggest win of his season so far. He now sets up a clash against his mentor and fellow Dunvegan stablemate Gary Anderson.
Rob Cross ended the night smashing through Jonny Clayton 6-1. Cross averaged 97.93 with 2 180's and continues his brilliant form as of late and despite it not being at his best, he looked good and will take on Kyle Anderson in Round 2 tomorrow with 'The Original' a seed this weekend. Clayton must be gutted as he didn't do himself justice after some brilliant form as of late.

- Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. Indicates to me that the prize money is skewed to much towards the top players, meritocracy must rule but a fair distribution of the money is needed otherwise its only ever about a select few.Mysstree09-01-2025
