The Grand Slam of Darts is due to take place from 14 to 22 November, 2026, at the WV Active in Aldersley (Wolverhampton) and sees an increase to the field from 32 to 48 for 2026, and the prize money is upped accordingly as Luke Littler aims to scoop the title again.

The winner will receive £200,000 from a total prize fund of £1,000,000, with the field being comprised of finalists from televised tournaments, PDC ProTour title winners and additional qualifiers, with the first 40 places being joined by eight Tour Card holder qualifiers.

Who is involved at Grand Slam of Darts?

Littler is the defending champion, having defeated Luke Humphries 16-11 in the 2025 final, and they are joined by some usual familiar faces who have reached major finals this year in Ross Smith (two-time major winner in 2026), Gian van Veen, Gerwyn Price, James Wade, Nathan Aspinall, Michael van Gerwen and Martin Schindler. Only Smith and Humphries qualify as actual champions, with the rest being runner-ups, such as the dominance of Littler up until the World Series of Darts Finals.
Since then Smith and Humphries have collected the majors, so the big storyline this time around will likely revolve around Littler returning to the winners circle. Other such names, including Beau Greaves, Lisa Ashton, Joe Hunt, Sebastian Bialecki, Paolo Nebrida, Adam Sevada and Raymond Smith, all qualify as additional qualifiers through the secondary tours or other routes such as the CDC, Asian Tour and ANZ Premier League.
Jonny Clayton, Wessel Nijman, Josh Rock, Luke Woodhouse, Krzysztof Ratajski and Niels Zonneveld all get in through the European Tour. While players such as Chris Dobey, Cameron Menzies, and down to Henry Coates and Tommy Morris get in as ProTour champions – the latter two are only the fifth and sixth to win titles as non-Tour Card holders. They will play in all remaining majors this season though having also qualified for Minehead and the PDC World Darts Championship.

While Stephen Bunting, Ricky Evans, Joe Cullen, Alan Soutar and Niko Springer are among those through the qualifier route earlier this week. The top sixteen qualified players are all put into Pot A, and the other 32 are split into pools based off their ranking. This means that Ratajski, Schindler, Doets, Cross among others, as higher-ranked players, are together, while those who qualify without a ranking, such as Ashton, Nebrida and Smith, are all in Pot C. They are then split into groups.

The prize money increased from £650,000 in 2025 to £1,000,000 in 2026. The winner will receive £200,000 and the Eric Bristow Trophy named after the late great darting icon who died in April of the same year in 2018. For even coming last in the group, the third-placed player receives £5,000.
For coming second, it is £12,500. While the big caveat comes in the form of the £20,000 for reaching the Last 16. For quarter-finalists, it jumps to £35,000. While reaching the semi-finals, it is £60,000. £100,000 awaits the runner-up. This is also now a ranking event, which wasn't in the past, pushing even more onus on making it to the latter stages for that end too and big opportunities for all players.
