Jonny Clayton hopes to break into the world's top ten on short notice, as 'The Ferret' reached a career-high 13th position after winning his third PDC title last weekend.

The Welshman awarded himself with the Players Championship 10 title after an excellent day in Barnsley. Clayton defeated Gabriel Clemens 8-4 in the final to win his second Players Championship event, while he won the Austrian Darts Open as well last year.
With this performances Clayton moved up to the 13th position on the PDC Order of Merit. He is currently £50,250 away from a coveted place in the top-10.
"I'd love to break into the top ten, that's my main goal and anything more than that would be a bonus," Clayton told the PDC. "The main thing is that I'm enjoying myself, I love competing against the best because that's how you improve the level of your game.''
"I know what I'm capable of, it's just a matter of keeping consistent and that's what I'm trying really hard to do. I just want to play my best game as much as I can. I'm back in work every Monday morning after tournaments, maybe my time as a plasterer is coming to an end but I thought that three years ago and I'm still at it!''
