Clayton to face De Zwaan in final at Players Championship 10 in Wigan

The final at Players Championship 10 has been confirmed and it will see two of the best performers so far in 2018 doing battle for £10,000 pounds. Jonny Clayton, a former winner in this series last year and a winner last weekend on the Euro Tour will face Jeffrey de Zwaan, a two time ranking finalist this year.
Clayton came through by defeating Stephen Bunting with a blockbuster 161 checkout to finish and take him one step closer to the title. He averaged 100 in that so not reaching the heights of his win against Van Gerwen but he did enough to get through.
After his first Players Championship title after losing to Gary Anderson twice, Jeffrey de Zwaan will not have Anderson to overcome this time which could work in his favour. He defeated Gabriel Clemens, who couldn't reach the heights he produced for a lot of today meaning De Zwaan claimed a 6-3 win.

- Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. - It is shocking and unbelievable that 2 Hotty who was always such a decent player, 2 time World Champion and won the Grand Slam when it meant something. He really should have joined the PDC earlier. He has just disappeared off the radar. Such a shame when one of your favourite players just dissappears. I guess he is concentrating on the carpentry.
