The scoreline might not suggest that he smashed the World Number One but he was 5-1 up and should have had alot more of a convincing win. That victory does potentially make the Pontyberem ace the favourite to win his second title of the year.
He will face Stephen Bunting though who overcame one of the stars of today in Martin Schindler and looked good in doing so. Bunting has shown a return to form without claiming a title but could add a Players Championship to his roll of honour.
In the other semi-final it will see Gabriel Clemens, the dangerous German and former World Masters semi-finalist face Jeffrey de Zwaan, a two time finalist on the Pro Tour this year.
