Clinical Daryl Gurney defeats resurgent Stephen Bunting to reach Quarter-Finals in Hasselt

Daryl Gurney is through to the Quarter-Finals brushing aside Stephen Bunting at the European Championship in Hasselt.
He defeated 'The Bullet' 10-6 who has had a great run back to form after being in the darting doldrums for many months and so despite the loss, Bunting will be pleased with how he played in a match that only 6 months ago would of been a write off for the former World Champion.
Gurney hit six 180's, 66% on the doubles and a 94 average continues Gurney's claim to win back to back major's and he moves ahead of Adrian Lewis in the rankings as a result of this win.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
