Despite only earning his first Tour Card last month, Corey Cadby is in line for a World Matchplay debut.

The Australian star has enjoyed a brilliant start to life on the Pro Tour. Two ranking finals, one of which Cadby won, have been notched up already. Top statistician Burton DeWitt has revealed that the King's exploits have him on the road to Blackpool. Cadby sits eighth in the ProTour World Matchplay rankings. The rankings are made up of the top 16 players in the Pro Tour Order of Merit who are not in the overall top 16. Kyle Anderson is top of the pile, followed by Jonny Clayton and Joe Cullen. Cadby's performance has drawn comparisons with Rob Cross. The world champion finished fourth in the Pro Tour Order of Merit in the race to Blackpool.
Darren Webster and Jermaine Wattimena have a tough fight on their hands. Webster, as the world number 16, would qualify for the Matchplay. But Benito van de Pas and Jelle Klaasen lead the race to unseat the Demolition Man. Even if he drops below 16th in the world, Webster has currently earned enough to book a spot in Blackpool through the Pro Tour rankings. Wattimena is a mere £1,250 ahead of Justin Pipe in the Pro Tour table. The cut-off point is July 4, with plenty of ranking money to be earned before then.
