Last nights saw the turn of the World Series of Darts Finals qualifiers in Barnsley before today and tomorrow's double header of Players Championship action at the Metrodome to round off the Pro Tour season.
There were no real shocks when it came to the players who would join the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Corey Cadby, Gary Anderson etc at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow next month. Dimitri van den Bergh., Mark Webster and Chris Dobey are all previous qualifiers all two years ago and have done so again.
Also in the event next month includes rising PDC star Rob Cross who took out Ryan Meikle to deny the Suffolk player his first taste of a TV event, Justin Pipe took out one of the big names in the draw in Ian White to progress.
Jan Dekker denied the 'Muffin Man' Steve Hine his first major in some time and also Jonny Clayton who has showed good form in spells this year defeated Ricky Evans who has been in poor form this year and was looking for a route to kick start his run to the World Championships.
Finally Simon Stevenson returned to form winning passage through to the tournament next month.
