Cross sees off Searle to make it three wins from as many games and Gilding survives comeback to defeat Durrant

Rob Cross made it three wins from as many games in seeing off Ryan Searle 5-2 in what was a game with nothing to play for with both players.

Cross averaged 98 along the way to set out his ambitions for the rest of the week. It was a 50% checkout rate with one 180 for the Hastings ace.
Then Andrew Gilding has to hold on from 4-1 down to then defeat Glen Durrant in the decider. He missed six match darts on the way before hitting double 8 with his final dart with Durrant waiting on 24 to win.
If Price defeats Whitlock, Durrant is through otherwise The Wizard will leaving a wait for ‘Duzza’.
