The World Series events have been completed for the year barring the finals with a new winner in Rob Cross.

Cross winning though means a statistic which is that there has been six different event winners on the tour in as many events.
Mensur Suljovic started it all being a wild card entry in Gelsenkirchen and going on to claim the title. Gary Anderson was next on the roll of honour with Las Vegas being added to his collection in what has been a title laden 2018 for the Flying Scotsman.
His protege Michael Smith added his first TV title soon after in Shanghai and the trend continued in Down Under. Three of the best in the world in Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and finally Rob Cross claimed titles.
It has been a first this year mainly in part due to Michael Van Gerwen’s darting dominance being tested and Phil Taylor’s retirement. Before hand both players won the majority of events on the World Series.
The final tournament is the finals later on in the year and could it buck the trend and gleam a seventh winner?
