Rob Cross has withdrawn from the Dutch Darts Masters. The reigning world champion has been suffering from chest pains for weeks now and after a visit to the hospital in Aberdeen last night a damaged sternum was diagnosed.

The opponent of Rob Cross: Steve Lennon, has a bye and is directly through to the third round. The match between Michael Smith and Tobias Müller / Stephen Bunting will be moved to the evening session, meaning that only 7 games will be on in the afternoon session. The matches will start at 13.15.
Cross will now aim to recover in time for the Premier League play-offs next Thursday. He will face Michael van Gerwen and will hopefully be in a better state to do so now he’s sitting out Zwolle.
