Joe Cullen is a winner on the World Matchplay at the fourth time of asking and now will want to kick on after smashing Gerwyn Price in their opening round encounter this afternoon.

It was a 10-3 win for the Rockstar who potentially could have claimed a whitewash had Price not come back towards the end. This was of course due to Price's injury to his achilles which he is having surgery on which will take place after he has bowed out today.
A 170 checkout and 52% on the doubles won Cullen the match in a dominant display as he moves through to the second round for the first time.
