As is Michael van Gerwen who is out to claim a 3rd consecutive title after denying Peter Wright in both Leverkusen and Munich. There will be a high chance of another final between the pair.
Alongside them at the German Darts Open, the likes of Michael Smith, Daryl Gurney and the World Champion Rob Cross will be part of the seeded players as the
European Tour continues with another bumper weekend of action.
There is some changes though in terms of the seedings for the event though with Darren Webster seeded for the first time on the European Tour, Benito van de Pas returning to the line up as well as Steve Beaton.
This means that Kim Huybrechts, Kyle Anderson and Alan Norris are the three main absentees from the seedings from this weekend.
In terms of the UK Qualifiers, James Wade will aim to continue his brilliant run of form which has seen him reach two consecutive semi-finals. He will be joined by the likes of Cameron Menzies, Luke Humphries and Richard North who have had some good performances so far this year on the Euro Tour.
The likes of Matthew Edgar, Simon Stevenson, Paul Nicholson and Robert Thornton will make their first appearances of the year in Saarbrucken.
Daniel Larsson has qualified through the Nordic and Baltic qualifier while Tytus Kanik makes a second appearance of the year through the Eastern European Qualifier.
