After nine rounds of play in the Premier League Darts, Michael van Gerwen has collected an amount of 7100 pounds for the Make A Wish and Be Gamble Aware foundations.
The two-time world champion promised to transfer a hundred pounds for every 180-score to the Make A Wish foundation. The amount is distributed fairly between the Dutch and British departments of this foundation.
After nine rounds of play, the counter stands at 35 maximum scores. Both departments of the charity can therefore count at least 1750 pounds. This action could cost the 28-year-old Dutchman a lot of money. Over the past five years Van Gerwen has always scored more than sixty maximum scores.
In addition, Unibet, the title sponsor of the Premier League Darts, promised to transfer a hundred pounds for every 180 and 177 score to Be Gamble Aware. An organization that tries to counter the chance of gambling addiction.
In addition to the 35 maximum scores, Van Gerwen once scored a 177 score. Be Gamble Aware can therefore expect a check of at least £ 3,600.
