'This is a new start for me' - Danny Noppert speaks after claiming tour card at European Q-School

Most darts followers counted on a Tour Card for Danny Noppert during the Q-School and the Dutchman knew how to meet these expectations after four days.
Q-School Order of Merit als nummer één af.">Noppert closed the European Q-School Order of Merit as number one. That was more than enough for a place with the best six players, who, like the day winners, were given a Tour Card.
The former Lakeside champion performed very consistently in Hildesheim. Noppert picked up at least two points every day and ended up on fourteen points. Afterwards he spoke with RTL7darts about obtaining his Tour Card.
"I have fought for what I am worth and now have my Tour Card. There are so many good participants here ", says 'Noppie' in conversation with Jacques Nieuwlaat. "There was pressure on my shoulders, but I did it anyway."
"This is a new start for me with a new challenge. I look forward to it and will enjoy it, this game is all for me. I'm just going to try to show my best game. Taking everything out, you can not do more. "

- Many fans had a sour taste in their mouth by the end of this match. Mike was cruising to victory, playing beautiful darts, when the whistling started in earnest, particularly on his doubles. You could see in Mike's face that it was really affecting his concentration. The referee should have asked for order, just to show that the whistling is unacceptable, and Luke Littler could also have done his part to quieten down the crowd instead of "taking full advantage.:" I put that down to his age though. He needs some good advice on this from his management team and/or more seasoned players. It's got to be about who's best on the night, not who is being harassed by the crowd. Luke Littler played well to get back into the game and win, but it was a hollow victory. If he goes on to win the tournament, that triumph too will be tainted because of this match.
