Brian Dawson has won the BDO German Masters in Wunderland Kalkar on Sunday evening. The South Yorkshire ace defeated BDO's number three Wesley Harms 6-4 in the final.
Dawson beat another Dutchman in the semi-finals as he smashed Dennie Olde Kalter 5-1, after beating Saturday's winner Mario Vandenbogaerde in the quarter-finals. 'Doggy Dawson' claimed his first ever BDO open title in German.
Corrine Hammond picked up the title in the ladies event. The Australian edged out Lorraine Winstanley 5-4 after a nail-biting final. Hammond also beat Lisa Ashton in the semi-finals.
