Jeffrey de Zwaan claimed his first PDC ranking title on Sunday defeating Jonny Clayton in a thrilling conclusion to Players Championship 10. He has spoke to the PDC website after that win about his ambitions for the rest of the year as well as when he started to believe in himself again.

For De Zwaan he sees the work that he has been putting in has resulted in his current form. Also since winning back his tour card, 'The Black Cobra' admits that was another catalyst for him to believe again. “Since I won my Tour Card back, I’ve started believing in myself again,” said the Dutch ace who also had the announcement he had signed for Unicorn meaning a brilliant start to the year continues. “I was struggling for two years and it’s been a really hard time for me in darts. “Going back to Q-School this year was tough but since then everything has been growing and growing." “I’ve put a lot more work in. I’ve been practicing for two or three hours every day and now the fans can see what I can do,” de Zwaan added. He then spoke about his ambitions and him wanting to win a TV tournament; his target now is to qualify for more of the TV tournaments and he says he knows he is good enough. “I want to win a TV tournament. If I am good enough to win a Players Championship then why not? “I have set myself a target of playing in many more TV tournaments - I want to make the World Championship, World Grand Prix and World Matchplay. “I know I’m good enough, but whether or not I’m ready yet we shall see.”
