Chris Dobey is not likely to be high on anyone's list of potential PDC World Championship 2019 winners.

Dobey himself is an exception; the Bedlington ace believes he has the game to take the title. He reached the second round of the 2017 World Championship, and at the first hurdle last year. Speaking to , Dobey talked up his chances of PDC World Championship glory. "There's no reason why I can't (win)," Dobey said. "On my day, I'm good enough to win it. "I'm playing some good stuff at the moment. Happy with my preparation and my game at the minute, so I've got to keep that up, and hopefully I can have a good run." His lofty ambitions could be checked early on by Russia's Boris Koltsov. Based on Koltsov's TV performances, Dobey is aware that he'll have a fight on his hands. "I've seen him play in the World Cup a few times. He's obviously a good player," the 28-year-old admitted. "I've just got to play my game, and hopefully on the day it'll be enough."
