Main stage action begins with former Lakeside finalist Mark McGeeney making his UK Open debut against a Semi-Finalist from last year in Dave Pallett.
Wes Newton, a 2011 finalist starts his campaign following that against Cameron Menzies. Also appearing on the main stage include the likes of Glen Durrant, Luke Humphries and Dimitri van den Bergh.
There is eight boards of action with Board 2 streamed on the first two days on PDCTV-HD. That board includes the likes of Barry Lynn, Jamie Hughes and Danny Noppert.
Gary Anderson won the UK Open last year after defeating Corey Cadby in the final. The Australian is missing this weekend due to visa problems.
The world's top 32 - including defending champion Gary Anderson, World Champion Michael van Gerwen and former UK Open champions Raymond van Barneveld, James Wade, Adrian Lewis and Peter Wright - come into the event in Friday evening's fourth round.
