Draw for World Matchplay revealed: Van Gerwen vs De Zwaan and Anderson vs Bunting among ties

The World Matchplay draw has been completed ahead of the tournament taking place at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens at the end of July.

Among the draws in the first round of the World Matchplay is Michael van Gerwen vs Jeffrey de Zwaan. This will be a repeat of their UK Open clash which De Zwaan won. Also Gary Anderson vs Stephen Bunting will headline.
Making his World Matchplay debut is Jermaine Wattimena. He will have a tough test in James Wade who has been resurgent as of late.
Peter Wright will play Jelle Klaasen and Simon Whitlock and Richard North will provide two other intriguing clashes as the Phil Taylor trophy becomes up for grabs.
