Draw released for Auckland Darts Masters

Michael van Gerwen is unseeded for a World Series event starting with the Auckland Darts Masters for one of the first times in his career and so his draw reflects that. Van Gerwen will take on New Zealand's number one, former World Championship participant and Challenge Tour winner in Cody Harris. 'Code Star' who up to now hasn't looked that brilliant when the cameras have been on him will hope to put that right and knock Van Gerwen out early in another tournament. Raymond van Barneveld has a potentially tough assignment in the form of previous World Series giantkiller, Warren Parry. Harris will hope to harness what Parry had when he beat Mighty Mike while for 'Wozza'. He has experience compared to the other qualifiers to make a potentially intriguing clash. Also in terms of the stand out ties, Peter Wright who is a favourite wherever he goes will take on Gisborne youngster Tahuna Irwin. Irwin has impressed by qualifying for his first World Series as well as the World Youth and World Darts Championship later in the year and will hope to begin his road to success by knocking out 'Snakebite'. for breakdown prize fund Auckland Darts Masters.
