It was announced earlier on Wednesday that Corey Cadby will not take any part in the Auckland Darts Masters this weekend due to visa issues.
The Sportsman Management Company who look after Cadby said in a statement the following:
“Corey has had to pull out of Auckland due to his passport still being with his Visa application.”
“Corey couldn’t apply for a sportsman’s visa until he had secured a tour card, we applied at the earliest opportunity possible.
”Unfortunately with the process he had to send his passport with his application, we still haven’t received a yes or no answer, hence still no passport.”
“Unfortunately The British Home Office have put no timescale on this so it’s just a case of waiting. Corey has NEVER been refused a visa as some people are stating. So Corey pulling out of Auckland is not down to any visa refusal it’s down to his passport being with the application.
“We asked for an emergency passport so he could travel but was told this was not possible. If he wanted his passport back it would cancel the process. So Corey couldn’t travel to NZ without a Passport.”
They added about his status for Melbourne and Brisbane: “Corey is still involved in Melbourne and Brisbane and is really looking forward to it.”
