The draw for the 2018 European Darts Grand Prix has been made on Thursday afternoon. The event will kick off on Friday afternoon in Sindelfingen, marking the fifth event of the 2018 PDC European Tour. The 32 players that came through the different qualifiers, will begin their tournaments in the first round.
The 16 seeded players will join in the second round on Saturday as they take on the sixteen first round-winners. The twelve remaining qualifiers will be confirmed later this evening.
Adrian Lewis, who was one of the UK Qualifiers, has withdrawn through illness and will be replaced by a fifth Host Nation Qualifier.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention.
