The action continues at the European Darts Open with Glen Durrant, Kim Huybrechts and Mervyn King all moving through.

Durrant was making his European Tour debut and claimed a 6-4 victory with a 94 average and 50% on the doubles. He didn’t have it all his own way but will be pleased nonetheless to get through unscathed. Unlike Kim Huybrechts who had to survive seven match darts in seeing off Nico Kurz, both players played similar in a pretty even contest but it was ‘The Hurricane’ that got the better of him. Finally, Mervyn King is through to the next round after smashing Jason Wilson. He averaged 85 on his way to a 6-1 win. He capped the performance off with a 122 checkout on the bull as he eases through to Saturday.
