The first two matches in the evening session on Day One of the European Darts Open are complete with Krzysztof Ratajski and Jeffrey de Zwaan coming through their respective ties.

Ratajski edged out Matthew Edgar coming from 3-1 down to win 6-5. This was despite just 6/31 on the doubles. ‘The Polish Eagle’ will now face off against Michael Smith tomorrow in what is a potentially quality clash. De Zwaan in his tie against Josh Payne saw him off in a 6-1 victory in a result that wouldn’t have been expected. Payne had trouble on his doubles which was his downfall with only 1/9 on his doubles. ‘The Black Cobra’ will face off against Daryl Gurney tomorrow in another quality clash as the action continues in Leverkusen.
