England produced a strong display in their 5-3 triumph over Czech Republic to reach the second round at the World Cup of Darts.

Dave Chisnall and Rob Cross, who made his tournament debut in the World Cup of darts, averaged 93 as they set-up a clash with Singapore in the last sixteen. An 134 finish gave England a 4-1 lead, before Czech won two legs to bring back the tension in the game. However Cross hit a 13-dart leg in leg eighth to seal the victory.
Belgium progressed as they overcame Ireland 5-4. The Belgians were 2-4 down, but they forced a legdecider with an 130 check-out and 11-dart leg. William O'Connor missed the bullseye to claim the victory for Ireland, before Kim Huybrechts hit double 18 to take the win for 'The Red Devils'. South Africa beat Hungary 5-3 to move into the second round.
