Netherlands makes solid start with whitewash against Gibraltar

The Netherlands didn't drop a leg en route to the second of the World Cup of Darts. Defending champions Michael van Gerwen en Raymond van Barneveld beat Gibraltar 5-0.

Van Gerwen hit a 160 finish in the first leg, before the Netherlands extented their lead to 4-0. Van Barneveld missed tops to hit a 160 check-out as well, but left double 20. 'Mighty Mike' stepped in and claimed victory with a 13-dart leg.
Germany delighted their home crowd with a 5-3 victory over Sweden. Max Hopp and Martin Schindler came back from 2-3 down as they won the last three legs on the spin.
