England men's and ladies move into quarter-finals team event WDF Europe Cup

The England men's and ladies team have reached the quarter-finals of the team event at the WDF Europe Cup in Hungary.
For the England ladies it looked like a walk in the park, with 9-0 victories over Malta, Ukraine and Greece. Only Turkey was able to win a few legs against Lorraine Winstanley, Deta Hedman, Fallon Sherrock and Maria O'Brien.
The men's are also through, despite one defeat in the group stage. Scott Mitchell, Daniel Day, Nigel Heydon and Paul Hogan were beaten by Wales, but defeated Catalonia and Greece to reach the last 16. In the knockout-stage they overcame Belgium to set up a clash with Netherlands in the quarter-finals.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
