Northern Irishman Daryl Gurney has enjoyed a breakthrough twelve months competing on the PDC circuit but the 32-year old admitted that it was nice to take some time off in August and recharge his batteries.

His season will end with an appearance at the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in December.
