European Darts Grand Prix 2019 preview and schedule - Sunday afternoon session

Ian White and Keegan Brown will start it all off at the European Darts Grand Prix. White only just came through against Dimitri van den Bergh while Brown was impressive in seeing off Ricky Evans. Dont discount White though with ‘Diamond’ making his last two finals in the last two weeks on the European Tour. Following that will be a frenetic tie between Jeffrey de Zwaan and Michael Smith. A match that could be seen as game of the day by many expect a fast paced and close tie. The evergreen Steve Beaton has continued his excellent form and he will face Ryan Searle, ‘Heavy Metal’ though has not played since Friday due to a bye and so it could swing the way of Beaton who’s built some momentum on that stage. A fiery battle follows that between Gerwyn Price and Darren Webster. ‘The Iceman’ and ‘The Demolition Man’ don’t hold back on their celebrations so it should be an interesting clash. Probably the game of the session follows that between Daryl Gurney and Nathan Aspinall. Both players are in superb form and so it should be a close, quality affair. Then it is a former BDO battle between Jamie Hughes and Mark McGeeney who are two of the most successful since switching in January. A potential game of the day between two in form players. Peter Wright edged out Niels Zonneveld last night and his task will get tougher in the penultimate game with ‘Snakebite’ taking on Jonny Clayton. Finally Michael van Gerwen in edging out Brendan Dolan will face James Richardson who if he brings his A game could dump out the World Champion.
