The UK Open undergoes a huge change in format for 2019 and the prize fund is increased to £450,000. All PDC Tour Card Holders are guaranteed a place in an expanded 160-player field for the iconic event in Minehead.

New Format
All 128 Tour Card Holders will be invited straight into the UK Open from 2019 onwards. The field will be complemented by sixteen Rileys Amateur Qualifiers and sixteen qualifiers from the 2018 PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour Order of Merit.
The UK Open's unique open draw format will remain in place. However, some Tour Card Holders will be excempt from the early rounds. This is based on their PDC-ranking. As usual, the 'FA Cup of Darts' will be played during the first weekend of March (1-3).

Prize Fund
The UK Open's top prize will increase to tournament record £100,000 in 2019. A total prize fund of £450,000 on offer and being paid down to the last 96.
Eight events remain to be played across two weekends on the 2018 Challenge Tour circuit on September 8-9 and November 10-11, with the top two players from the final Order of Merit claiming a PDC Tour Card.
