32 nations meet at the Eissporthalle for the 2018
World Cup of Darts. Starting on Thursday May 31 and ending on Sunday June 3,
Sky Sports Darts will follow all six sessions of play (see
TV Guide). Round one will take place on the first two days.
On the third day of play, the sixteen remaing nations will enter the fray in the second round. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played on the final day of action. The Netherlands are the defending champions, while England won the event four times. Scotland, with Gary Anderson and Peter Wright, are the number one seed for this years event.
The tournament will remain at 32 teams this year, with the top 8 teams being seeded and the remaining 24 teams being unseeded in the first round. Like last year, there are no groups in 2018 with the tournament being a straight knockout.
