Van den Bergh in confident mood ahead of Quarter-Finals: “We won’t be scared of playing England”

Dimitri van den Bergh has been brilliant so far in the World Cup of Darts and with Kim Huybrechts, the Belgian team have a great chance of potentially going all the way.
Van den Bergh spoke after their win against Finland and was in a confident mood ahead of a clash with England. He said him and Kim believe in each other so can’t wait for it. Also he spoke of how he was nervous all day but that he felt more comfortable in the win vs Finland. “Yesterday I was nervous all day but today I felt much more comfortable,” said Van den Bergh. “I felt ready, I played so well in the practice and to average over 100 is always nice, but the main thing was to get the important win. “We believe in each other and we won’t be scared of playing England, we can’t wait for it.” For more information on the World Cup of Darts click .

- Say what? It happens in other countries; Littler in January - this year (Holland), go and watch the evidence on YouTube. If it is going to be done to English players, then we are more than entitled to dish the same back when players face off in England. - I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
