Saturday saw some excellent first round action, and we're set for more on Sunday. Most of the tournament favourites take to the Zenith stage in the evening. But some big names are on in the afternoon. Perhaps one of the 16 on show in the afternoon session could make a serious claim for the German Darts Grand Prix title. Gerwyn Price could definitely do with a morale boost. The Welshman has limped to an early exit from the Premier League. A decent run in Munich would help ease the pain, but he'll have to get past Luke Humphries first. The 2017 Development Tour winner was an outside bet against William O'Connor. But, after a 95 average and a fine win, he has the potential to hurt the Iceman. Following their bout is a meeting between Dave Chisnall and Darren Webster. Chizzy wasn't able to stage much of a run at the European Darts Open, but has managed a final and semi-final on the floor recently. Webster, despite travel woes, is on a high after a solid win over Jan Dekker. Steve West was far from solid against Paul Rowley, but a 79 average was enough for a 6-2 win. He'll have to be much better against Kim Huybrechts. The decibel level in Munich will then jump up a notch for Max Hopp's next outing, as the Maximiser takes on Mervyn King. 2017 European Championship semi-finalist Kyle Anderson then takes to the stage. The Original plays Alan Tabern, who did well to defeat Jermaine Wattimena on Saturday. Simon Whitlock is the next Aussie on stage. The eighth seed plays Keegan Brown, who dumped out host nation qualifier Maik Langendorf in the first round. Toni Alcinas was ruthless in victory over James Wilson. His next challenge is defeating Alan Norris, whose form has been far from glittering. The afternoon ends with world number five Daryl Gurney facing a tough test in the form of Ryan Meikle. The eight winners of these ties will return for Monday's third round.
