Gerwyn Price is finally a winner on the Alexandra Palace stage. 'The Iceman' played brilliantly in a straight sets win for the fiery former rugby player who has finally shook the unwanted stat about his record at the World Championship.
He defeated the young prospect
Ted Evetts who didn't really push the Welsh man and averaged less than 90 but can be forgiven with Price playing brilliantly and it being his first time on the World Championship stage so nerves could of played a factor.
Price though will prepare for a second round clash against either Ian White or the American qualifier Willard Bruguier or the well known New Zealand native 'Code Star' Cody Harris but based off tonight he should be favourite as Price played very well to end the first night off at the Alexandra Palace.
