Daryl Gurney is the first player through to the final at the German Darts Championship after edging out Adrian Lewis in the first semi-final.

It was a high quality affair which saw both players average around the 100 mark but it was ‘Superchin’ that came through. His scoring was also superb with him hitting six 180’s en route to his 7-5 victory. Gurney grabbed the early initiative in the tie going 4-2 up with the first break of throw coming at 2-1 up. A further break and a 14-darter allowed him to go one away but Lewis came back. He stopped the rot and hit a ten darter in a spell of three consecutive legs before closing the gap to 6-5 to Gurney. Despite that though, the Northern Irishman didn’t falter and claimed a huge win to move to the brink of a first European Tour title. for more information about the PDC European Tour, including the format, calendar and the prize fund breakdown.
