Daryl Gurney is into the quarter-finals at the World Grand Prix after seeing off Ron Meulenkamp who made a brilliant comeback to force a deciding set against the defending champion.

Gurney had to dig deep in the end to the get the job done after originally putting in the hard work to claim a potentially unassailable lead against the Bomb.
'Superchin' started off by cleaning up the first set; with ease smashing through it in quick time against the left hander.
In the second set, Meulenkamp started off well pinning D8 for the lead in the second set; but a 112 checkout followed by the next two legs gave Gurney his lead.
This is where the Dutchman came back into the clash; with the Northern Irishman missing three darts at tops with Meulenkamp there to pin the legs to reduce the deficit and make it 2-1.
The next set was where the Dutchman really threw the match up in the air as he forced the deciding set in which Gurney though wasn't really challenged. 'Superchin' claimed it 3-0 with this also including a 13 darter who nearly crashed out.
