Daryl Gurney will take on Michael van Gerwen on Thursday in Manchester and is eyeing back to back victories over the world number one in the Premier League Darts.
Gurney discussed taking on Mighty Mike this week and admitted that Van Gerwen knows he can beat him. Despite that though he also said that he knows that if he doesn’t play his A game he will lose. "When you play Michael it's an easy game to work out mentally because you know unless you're playing your 'A+ game' then you're going to lose, so I'll go up there feeling relaxed," said Gurney. "Michael knows I can beat him and I'm sure he's wary of that but all he wants to do is smash up every dart player there is. "Thursday against Peter was definitely an important win for me. I knew that a draw wouldn't have been good enough and thankfully I got the two points. "Unless I beat Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith and get at least a draw against Van Gerwen then I don't think I'll qualify for the Play-Offs. for more information about the Premier League Darts, including all the fixtures and the prize fund breakdown.
