Henderson sees off Clemens in deciding set thriller as round two continues at PDC World Darts Championship

John Henderson came through an absolute thriller of a tie with Gabriel Clemens with 'The Highlander' avoiding the tag of being the next seed to fall at this years' PDC World Darts Championship.

He took out 120 to do it with an average of 95 with five 180's and 62% on the doubles. Hendo will next face off against Michael Smith in Round Three. Both players were class in the first set with with Henderson averaging around the 108 mark for the majority and taking the set with an 87 checkout on the bull. Of the highlights this included a brilliant 125 checkout from Clemens. Clemens started the next set by breaking the throw of Henderson pinning double 20 despite Hendo still averaging around the 101 mark. He continued playing well by pinning a 141 checkout to go two up in the set as he went one away from tieing it up with Henderson. After Clemens missed bull to claim the set, Hendo broke throw to send the match into a decider. Clemens broke throw himself in the next leg to claim the set and tie the match up. He went two-one up in sets edging it out 3-2 despite four 180's and a 96 average from Hendo. Henderson claimed the deciding leg of the next set with a brilliant 141 checkout to deny Clemens the win at least for now.
