The first two matches are complete at the Grand Slam Of Darts from it’s temporary home of Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton.

Max Hopp continued his great form despite only just edging through against Josh Payne. He came from 2-0 down against the Maximum who had the throw initially.
Payne didn’t fade from there and had multiple darts to make it 4-3 and go on the verge of victory. It was the German ace who edged over the line to pick up the first points.
Gerwyn Price in the second match celebrated getting married yesterday by seeing off Andrew Gilding. ‘Goldfinger’ had his chances but couldn’t punish the Welshman.
‘The Iceman’ ran out a 5-2 winner in the end in a group that also includes Simon Whitlock and Glen Durrant.
